Part of the Captured Time series by Kate Schuricht, these handmade ceramic urns for ashes are inspired by the human tradition of collecting and preserving treasured objects. Slip-cast in semi-porcelain clay and fired to stoneware temperature, each vessel is finished in Kate’s signature Sea Green glaze, shifting from pale water tones to deeper grey-green.
The urns include a dark-brown binding thread to secure after filling, symbolising protection and continuity. Every piece in the series is unique, a timeless ceramic cremation urn that combines modern refinement with ancient ritual.

Best known for her bound-lid jars and sculptural containers, Kate crafts handmade ceramic cremation urns and memory vessels that echo elements of water, stone and horizon lines. Her signature tonal surfaces are created by layering glazes, resulting in tactile, contemplative pieces that invite touch. Just like people, no two urns are ever the same.
