Originally from Hong Kong, potter Sin Chi Wan (The Paper Zookeeper) now calls London home. Chi fell in love with clay the first time she touched it, beginning an enduring journey with ceramics shaped by experiences in Hong Kong, London, and Japan. Her work blends skilled craftsmanship with storytelling, resulting in handmade pet urns that are both heartfelt and visually distinctive.
Chi draws endless inspiration from nature’s textures and colours, as well as the magic of fairy tales and animation. Her ceramic cat urns and bird urns carry a sense of softness and serenity, designed to offer comfort and quiet reflection. Each piece is lovingly created to hold not just ashes, but memory and meaning.
