Artist: Kate Gorbunova (Count Barkula)

Handcrafted in East London by Kate Gorbunova (Count Barkula), the Everbloom Memory Vessel is a ceramic cat urn inspired by renewal and the beauty of spring. Its elegant form draws from ancient Greek and Roman pottery, while the serene guardian cat atop echoes Pre-Columbian and Mesoamerican art, where sacred animals watched over their keepers. Made from white stoneware and adorned with underglaze floral motifs in pink and green, the vessel is finished with a soft crackle glaze. This cat cremation urn for ashes is one of a kind, a celebration of love, memory, and enduring companionship.

(Count Barkula)

Count Barkula is the playful ceramic alter ego of Kate Gorbunova, born during lockdown as an escape from screen fatigue. A graphic designer by trade, Kate sought a hands-on creative outlet, something tangible and deeply personal. She found it in clay. Inspired by her beloved whippet, Victor Hugo, she now creates handmade ceramic pet urns with charm and character. This special collection of dog and cat urns was created exclusively for urn studios, blending warmth, symbolism, and playful design.

Her forms echo Greek and Roman pottery, while expressive animal guardians nod to Pre-Columbian and Mesoamerican traditions. Richly decorated surfaces, florals reminiscent of folk art and patterns inspired by Persian and Middle Eastern ceramics, bring each handmade pet urn to life. Every piece hand-painted in Hackney, East London, offering a heartfelt tribute to the animals we love.
