Large Agateware Urn

This urn features a ceramic base, hand-thrown and turned on the wheel, paired with a beautifully crafted wood-turned lid. The porcelain vessel showcases the traditional ‘Agateware’ technique, created with coloured clays that Alma blends herself using oxides and stains to her own recipes. Fired to stoneware, the interior is glazed while the exterior is polished to a smooth, tactile finish. The Yew lid, turned by Patrick Letschka, is waxed on the inside and left natural on the outside, highlighting the character of the wood. Each piece is uniquely hand crafted to hold, treasure and celebrate the individuality of each person remembered.
