Anthea Williams
Anthea Williams creates sculptural ceramic vessels that explore the intersection of form, mark-making, and material. Trained in Fine Art Sculpture at the Royal College of Art in London, she was drawn to ceramics early on, convincing her tutors to let her experiment with clay, which has since become her primary medium. Her creative journey has also included work in wedding cake design, art education, and gallery administration.
Her ceramic urns for ashes are made using a mix of hand-building and wheel-throwing techniques. Each piece is shaped through a responsive process that balances structure, texture, and emotional expression. The result is a series of contemporary cremation urns, thoughtful and distinctive objects that hold both memory and presence in the home.
