Originally from Hong Kong, potter Sin Chi Wan (The Paper Zookeeper) now calls London her home. Chi fell in love with clay the first time she touched it, sparking an enduring love for the medium. The skills she brings to her work have been shaped by learning experiences in Hong Kong, London, and Japan.
Chi's creative spirit finds endless inspiration in the natural world – its textures, colours, and forms – as well as the whimsical narratives of fairy tales and the vibrant world of animation. She believes that within each of us lies a quiet space, and it is her hope that each piece she creates carries a sense of warmth and tranquility, offering a small moment of peace to those who hold it.
